Check Out Draft MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan 2032

Coffs Harbour City

The revised draft MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan 2032 will be placed on exhibition for further feedback from 2 May until 30 May 2022 following an extensive 'check-in' with local youth, community leaders and the broader community.

"In NSW, every council area must develop a Community Strategic Plan (CSP) with local residents and organisations to set the direction and agenda for the region for the next ten years, as well as capturing the community's long-term aspirations," said Sonia Doohan, Council's Section Leader Community Planning and Engagement.

"While the CSP is owned by the community, a review is required at the start of each new council term to determine if we are on track for where we want to be heading as a community.

"Between October 2021 and March 2022, we checked-in with the community across the LGA to find out what needed to change in the plan. The draft MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan 2032, is the result of input from the community."

In 2016, the community identified the vision for the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA) as being Connected, Sustainable, Thriving.

"The community check-in confirmed the vision, themes and many of the opportunities and challenges captured in the 2017 CSP are still relevant for the next 10 years," added Ms Doohan. "However, a new objective was needed to highlight the rising concern raised around housing and housing security – that has now been included in the draft."

Community helped shape the draft through focus groups, workshops, online forums, surveys and ideas walls.
