The 2018 inaugural Women’s State of Origin saw a packed North Sydney Oval and over 700,000 people tuning in to watch Queensland take on New South Wales.
The 2019 game is set to be played and broadcast live at North Sydney Oval on Friday, 21 June. The Friday night game gives fans another chance to cheer on New South Wales as they take on the Queenslanders.
Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the NSW Government is committed to attracting, investing and hosting major women’s sporting events for the state.
"The 2019 game will no doubt be a showcase of skill and pride as 40 of our country’s top representative players from New South Wales and Queensland battle it out for the historic title," Mr Ayres said.
"I encourage everyone to get their blue jerseys on and head out to North Sydney oval to cheer on our reigning champions as they take on the Maroons and do our state proud in June."
