Child approach in Penshurst

Police are appealing for public assistance after a child approach at Penshurst yesterday.

About 3pm today, an 11-year-old girl was walking on Victoria Avenue, Penshurst, approaching Penshurst Street, when she was approached by a man.

The man invited the girl to his home, causing her to run away from him.

The incident was reported to police and officers from St George Local Area Command commenced inquiries.

The man has been described as Caucasian appearance, aged 30-40, about 165cm tall, about 80-90kg in weight, and at the time he was wearing a silver coloured t-shit with an unzipped black jacket over the top, long jeans, and black boots.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stopers, NSW Police say.
