Child critical after struck by reversing car in Campsie

A child has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after being struck by a car in a driveway at Campsie, NSW Police say.

About 10.45am (Thursday 21 December 2017), a two-year-old girl was hit by a reversing Kia at the rear of a small business on Beamish Street, Campsie.

As a result she sustained critical injuries and has been taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick.

A crime scene has been established and the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit will be in attendance to conduct investigations.

The female driver has been taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
