A child has died in hospital following a collision in Blackburn North last week, Victoria Police say.
It is believed the driver of a Toyota HiAce van collided with the boy as he crossed Springfield Road shortly before 6.30pm on 18 August.
The 10-year-old Croydon boy was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
His life support was withdrawn today.
The driver, a 45-year-old Blackburn North man was interviewed and has been released pending further enquiries.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
