A child has died following a two car collision in Emerald this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
It is believed a car travelling west on Belgrave-Gembrook Road has crossed to the other side of the road and collided with an east-bound car about 3.45pm.
One passenger of the west-bound car, a young girl, died at the scene.
Two other children received serious injuries and have been taken to hospital.
The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 40s, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the other car received minor injuries and has also been taken to hospital.
Belgrave-Gembrook Road is closed in both directions.
