Child struck by reversing car in Mosman

A child has been taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in a carpark at Mosman today, NSW Police say.

About 9.40am (Wednesday 3 January 2018), a five-year-old boy was allegedly hit by a reversing car at a carpark on Spit Road, Mosman.

As a result he sustained serious but not non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

A crime scene has been established and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit will be conducting investigations.

The male driver was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
