The body of a child has been retrieved from the Hawkesbury River at Lower Portland, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to a boat ramp on River Road about 10.45am today after a vehicle and boat went into the river.
A four-year-old boy was inside the vehicle.
Officers from Hawkesbury Local Area Command, PolAir and police divers conducted an extensive search of the river.
A short time ago police located the boy’s body.
A search continues for the vehicle and boat.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
