Civilian employee and associate charged with fraud, NSW

A civilian employee and his associate have been charged over an alleged fraud, NSW Police say.

Following an investigation by the Professional Standards Command, two men – aged 27 and 41 – were arrested just after 7am yesterday (Wednesday 21 March 2018).

The 41-year-old man, who is a civilian police employee, was charged with 12 counts of fraud, unauthorised access/modification, and participate in a criminal group.

The 27-year-old man was charged with goods in custody, fraud, and participate in a criminal group.

Both men were granted strict conditional bail and are due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 11 April 2018.

The civilian employee has been suspended without pay.
