Civilian Employee Charged With Drink Driving - Tuggerah

A civilian NSW Police Force employee has been charged and her driver's licence suspended after being caught allegedly drink-driving in the state's Central Coast yesterday.

About 9.15pm (Friday 5 June 2026), officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District were conducting stationary testing on Wyong Road, Tuggerah, when they directed the driver of a Kia Sorento to stop for testing.

The driver of the vehicle – a 48-year-old woman– was arrested after allegedly returning a positive reading.

She was taken to Wyong Police Station for secondary testing, which allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.089.

The unsworn employee – attached to a specialist command - was charged with drive with middle-range PCA and will appear before Wyong Local Court on Monday 13 July 2026.

The 48-year-old's licence was also suspended.
