Civilian employee charged with drink driving in Western Region

A civilian employee has been charged with mid-range drink driving after being stopped in the state's Central West overnight.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District will allege the 35-year-old woman was seen leaving a licenced premises on Ribbon Gang Lane, Bathurst, about 6.30pm (Friday 1 February 2019), and drove away in her car.

She was stopped in nearby Church Street and subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

The woman – who is a civilian employee in the Western Region – was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station where she allegedly returned a BAS reading of 0.091.

She has now been charged with mid-range PCA and is due to appear in Bathurst Local Court on Monday 25 February 2019.

Her licence has been suspended and confiscated.
