Police from the Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged a man after locating an alleged clandestine drug lab in Gladstone Central yesterday, Queensland Police say.
At about 9am police executed a search warrant at a Central Lane address. It will be alleged a quantity of glassware and chemicals suspected of being associated with the production of a methyl amphetamine were located.
Police evacuated the unit upon locating the items and contacted the Illicit Laboratory Investigation Team (ILIT) to conduct further investigations.
A 22-year-old man from Gladstone Central was charged with one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing relevant thing and possess suspected property.
He is expected to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on September 19.
