Clr Penny Pedersen appointed NSROC Vice President

City of Ryde Councillor, Penny Pedersen, has been appointed Vice President of the Northern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (NSROC) for 2021.

NSROC is comprised of the City of Ryde and seven other councils in the northern part of Sydney. The organisation's key aims are to work cooperatively for the benefit of the region and to advocate on agreed regional positions and priorities.

Clr Pedersen was appointed to the role of NSROC Vice President at the organisation's Annual General Meeting.

Clr Pedersen said she was looking forward to serving in the new role.

"I am honoured to be appointed to such a senior role and helping ensure NSROC continues its good work in advocating for northern Sydney and working with member councils to deliver for the wonderful people that call this region home," Clr Pedersen said.

City of Ryde Mayor, Clr Jerome Laxale, congratulated Clr Pedersen on her new appointment.

"Since Penny was elected to Council in 2017 she has been a passionat e representative for her community particularly with issues concerning the environment, status of women in the community and social inclusion, while fiercely opposing overdevelopment in our region.
