Cocaine and cash seized; four charged with drug supply - Eastern Suburbs

Four men have been charged with drug supply following an operation conducted in Sydney's eastern suburbs last night.

Yesterday (Saturday 27 July 2019), officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command's Proactive Crime Team conducted Operation Express, targeting drug distribution and supply in the local area.

As a result, over 48 grams of cocaine was seized, as well as $8,500 in cash.

A 20-year-old man was arrested after he was seen acting suspiciously on Glen Street, Bondi. Police located and seized mobile phones, over 35 grams of cocaine and $1800 in cash from a vehicle.

He was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug x2, deal with property proceeds of crime and possess prohibited drug.

In three other separate incidents, three other men, aged 25, 26 and 24, were charged with supply prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.

All four men were granted conditional bail, with the 20, 25 and 26-year-old to appear before Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 20 August 2019 and the 24-year-old to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 23 August 2019.

Further operations can be expected.
