Cairns Regional Council advises that, in the interest of public safety, de-nutting of coconut palms will occur on the Cairns Esplanade from Monday 14 February until Friday 18 February, weather permitting.
Works will be undertaken on Monday to Thursday from 7am, and from 5am on Friday.
Disruption is expected to be minimal but for safety reasons, the area around each tree will be fenced off while de-nutting work is underway.
