Coldstream truck and tractor theft

Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a truck and two tractors from a storage yard in Coldstream earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told that unknown offenders gained entry to the Station Street compound about 1pm on Sunday 20 November.

It is believed an offender smashed the window of a 2008 Isuzu 950 Tray Truck, which was loaded with two orange/red coloured Kubota L5740 tractors that were both fitted with slashers.

The offender then drove the truck through a locked gate, smashing the gates and fencing.

Investigators believe a second truck was also involved in the theft, that truck was seen on CCTV entering a paddock opposite the compound around the time of the incident.

The second truck is described as being a white flat bedded tow truck with no markings.

Detectives have release photos of the stolen vehicles, as well as a CCTV image of the unidentified tow truck in the hope that someone may be able to provide information.

Investigators believe the stolen truck may have travelled north along the Goulburn Valley Highway to Seymour.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
