Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank) today announced it is evolving its award-winning1 customer recognition program, CommBank Yello.
CommBank is introducing more benefits and offers, boosting existing discounts and offering eligible customers the potential to save more. Using the CommBank app, eligible customers will also be able to access a personalised hub of tailored offers linked to how they transact, with the option of tracking their eligibility and progress towards more benefits.
Benefits include:
- Up to $460 in cashback each year on CommBank products
- Up to $680 in discounts on mobile, NBN and electricity in one year, and
- Hundreds of dollars each year in cashbacks and discounts on discretionary spending - from spending on electronics, food delivery and movies to name a few.
Ms Meg Bonighton, Executive General Manager of Customer Engagement and Digital, says that CommBank understands the importance of recognising customers.
"So far, we've seen our customers take advantage of more than $116 million2 worth of value. We're now making it easier for eligible customers to see their benefits and track their progress. Importantly, we're also providing them with the opportunity to unlock even more value," Ms Bonighton said.
"We're also providing easier access to our most exclusive benefits by reducing the number of required transactions and expanding eligibility to our top tiers for deposit holders. And we're offering more discounts on essential spending," Ms Bonighton added.
What's new
- A new digital experience in the CommBank app helps CommBank Yello customers to easily monitor their eligibility and progress and see additional benefits and offers available to them.
- New tiers have been introduced with new eligibility criteria, including lowering the eligibility for the higher tiers from 30 to 15 transactions a month.
- Enhanced benefits and offers available to eligible CommBank Yello customers - including:
- Bigger discounts on More Mobile and NBN - up to $360 annually off NBN and $120 annually off mobile, per plan, for up to three years, for eligible tiers
- A new energy benefit - receive up to $180 credit over 12 months for switching to Amber Electric
- Recurring monthly cashback for homeowners - up to $10 per month cashback on eligible home insurance products and eligible home loan service fees
- Free Kit membership for eligible customers.
These come on top of existing offers for everyday items, like shopping at Coles, exclusive movie offers at Event Cinemas & Village Cinemas and electronics from Samsung and JB Hi-Fi.
Ms Bonighton says CommBank Yello will continue to evolve over time to meet the ongoing and changing needs of customers.
"Customers have access to as many as 175 different offers each month with a focus on categories they value. The more people bank with us, the more benefits they can access.
"CommBank Yello is one way for us to say 'thank you' by providing access to savings on everyday spend, as well as unique benefits you can't get anywhere else," Ms Bonighton said.
CommBank Yello is relaunching to eligible customers this week.
"In the last twelve months through CommBank Yello we've offered eligible customers VIP access to major sporting events, as well as early and exclusive pre-sales to concerts, shows and events. This has included sending one family to Disneyland and free tickets to see the CommBank Matildas play. We hope to continue these types of opportunities into the future," Ms Bonighton added.
Eligible business customers can also access benefits to support their business. CommBank Yello for Business offers value for small and medium enterprises, including access to exciting benefits and great value offers.
