Commitment to funding artists and arts organisations

Council has committed to match an Arts Queensland commitment of $100,000 for the 2022/23 Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) program.

The RADF program is a highly successful State and Local Government partnership that supports professional and emerging artists and arts practitioners living in regional Queensland.

In the 2020/21 financial year, the RADF program funded 23 local projects, with a collective reach of over 18,716 attendees involving more than 1754 participants and 229 volunteers, as well as creating 122 short term employment opportunities across local arts industries.

In 2021/22, the program has thus far assisted 15 artists and organisations with funding, with projected audiences of over 1000, involving about 100 participants and 64 volunteers.
