Community Council heading to Kirwan

Community Council is on the move, this time coming to Division 5 for residents to meet and ask questions of Townsville City Council.

The meeting will be held at the Kirwan Sports Club tonight from 6pm and is a public forum to find out what is happening in the neighbourhood.

Division 5 Councillor Russ Cook said he is looking forward to meeting residents to discuss and provide feedback about the area.

"Community Council is a really easy and convenient way for residents to meet their local Councillor, the Mayor, Directors and senior staff and talk about local issues," Cr Cook said.

"Council is proud of our Open Council reforms and this is another way we can share our projects and plans for the future with the community.

"All residents are invited to come along to the family-friendly meeting, engage with Council, ask questions and provide feedback."
