Community Input Invited For 2026/27 Budget Planning

Devonport City Council Tasmania

As preparations begin for the 2026/27 financial year budget, Devonport City Council is inviting community members to share their ideas, feedback and priorities to help shape the City's future.

Community input plays a vital role in guiding Council's financial decision-making and ensuring the budget reflects the needs, values and aspirations of the Devonport community.

The consultation process provides residents with an opportunity to influence how funding is allocated across a range of areas, including projects, services and long-term planning initiatives.

Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman said community input is an essential part of Council's annual budget process, helping inform investment in key programs and infrastructure and ensuring the budget reflects the goals and priorities of its residents.

"We welcome community feedback across all areas - from infrastructure and services to social initiatives, environmental sustainability and emerging priorities," Cr Jarman said.

"By sharing your ideas, you can help inform the development of a budget that reflects the needs and priorities of our city."
