Residents of Leeton Shire are invited to stop in at The Coffee Tree for a free coffee (or drink of choice) with local highway patrol officers.

Council's Road Safety Officer Ashlee Hayllar said "Coffee with a Cop" is an international initiative which aims to break down barriers between police and the local community.

"We will have members of the Southwest Traffic & Highway Patrol Command present to answer any questions you have and discuss local road safety concerns, over a casual cup of tea or coffee," she said.

Coffee with a Cop will run on Thursday, 30 April 2026, from 9am - 11am at The Coffee Tree Café, located at 101 Pine Ave, Leeton.

The event is co-hosted by Leeton Shire Council and NSW Police Force.
