Concern for welfare - Missing person - Larrimah

Police are seeking public assistance to locate 70-year-old Paddy Moriarty.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Moriarty was on 15 December as he left the Larrimah Hotel around 5:30pm, Northern Territory Police say.

Police were notified on 19 December and follow-up checks of his residence and surrounding areas have failed to find him.

Mr Moriarty is described as Caucasian, around 178cm tall with short black / grey hair and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing a blue flannelette shirt with rolled up or short sleeves, green / khaki shorts and thongs.

Mr Moriarty was in the habit of walking his dog most mornings around the Larrimah area, including the local tip.

Currently, both Mr Moriarty and his dog are missing.

The dog is a female red and brown kelpie named ‘Kellie’ and was usually walked with a length of rope in place of a lead.

Police and the local Fire Emergency Response Group (FERG) are currently searching the area.

Members of the public are urged to notify police on 131 444 if they have any information, or have sighted them since the morning of 16 December.
