Concerns held for missing man in Sutherland

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a man missing from Sutherland earlier this week.

Alan Dwyer, aged 59, absconded from a ward in a Hospital on the Kingsway, Caringbah and was last seen outside a bakery in Sutherland today, NSW Police say.

Police were alerted after he couldn’t be located or contacted by family.

Officers from Sutherland Local Area Command attended and conducted a search of the area.

Serious concerns are held for the man’s welfare as he requires medication for a medical condition.

The missing man is known to frequent hotels and a bowling green in the Sutherland area.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm to 180cm tall, medium build, with brown/grey short hair and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing a blue/grey Adidas jacket with stripes on the sleeves, three quarter length beige coloured pants, and white Nike shoes.
