Concord Home Targeted: Shots Fired, Investigation On

Investigations are underway after shots were fired towards a home in Concord overnight.

About 1.10am (Thursday 3 July 2025), police were called to Davidson Avenue, Concord after reports of shots fired at a house.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

There was no one home at the time of the incident and there were no reports of injuries.

Officers located damage to the front of the home consistent with a projectile.

A short time later, emergency services were called to Stuart Street, Burwood, following reports of a car fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW officers attended and extinguished the fire; however, the vehicle was destroyed.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and initial inquiries have led police to believe the two incidents may be linked.

Detectives are also investigating whether the house involved was the intended target of the shooting.
