Congress increases funding for small businesses impacted by COVID-19

$310 billion has been added to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

As part of the PPP and Health Care Enhancement Act, Congress also added funding for the following programs to address the pandemic:

  • $60 billion for Small Business Administration's injury disaster loans and grants.
  • $75 billion for hospitals and health care providers for lost revenue attributed to the pandemic.
  • $25 billion for COVID-19 testing.

AGA will continue to provide details on funding and how gastroenterologists can access these funds. We continue to advocate for direct relief for physicians who have been impacted by this pandemic so that they are able to survive.
