I was delighted to attend the Declaration of the Polls in Ulverstone today and reaffirm my commitment to delivering results for the people of Montgomery.
I am grateful of the endorsement I have received from voters and the many words of encouragement and support during the campaign as I spoke to thousands of people across the electorate in recent months.
It is an honour to be given the opportunity to represent Montgomery for another term and I thank voters for their ongoing support.
This result is a clear endorsement of the Hodgman Liberal Government's Plan to create more jobs, grow the economy, keep Tasmanians safe, invest in health and education and protect the Tasmanian way of life.
As Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council, I will continue to work closely with the Premier and my Liberal colleagues to implement our Plan.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with the community to deliver results for Montgomery and the North West.
