Convenience store robbery in Casula

Just before 3.30am today, two men walked into a shop on Camden Valley Way, Casula, and approached the counter, NSW Police say.

At the time, the shop attendant, a 25-year-old man, was in the store stocking shelves.

One of the men armed with what appeared to be a butter knife approached the shop attendant and showed him the knife.

The pair jumped the counter and stole money and cigarettes before running from the store leaving the employee uninjured.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. With the assistance of the dog unit, police searched the area but were unable to locate the men.

At the time of the robbery both men were wearing hooded jumpers and face coverings.

Anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation should contact detectives at Liverpool, or Crime Stoppers.
