Cooma Landfill reopens as normal from 9.30am on Friday 28 November 2025, less than 24 hours after the facility was closed due to damage caused by strong winds on Wednesday 26 November 2025.
Safety barriers are back in place and essential site restorations are complete, thanks to a huge effort by teams from across Council who have all pitched in to get the facility reopen again as quickly as possible.
Cooma Landfill trading hours
Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 4.30pm
Saturday: 1pm to 5pm
Sunday: 11am to 5pm
Large-load disposal available until 4pm Monday to Friday and until 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
The ScrapMart tip shop is open Thursday to Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm, and on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.
