Cops bust drug syndicate in Werribee South

Police have busted an alleged drug syndicate after a clandestine laboratory was located in Werribee South and drugs seized with a street value of more than $5 million dollars, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged an active laboratory was located in a house on Duncans Road just before 10.30am on Wednesday 19 October.

The joint investigation by detectives of the Clandestine Laboratory Squad and Drug Task Force, assisted by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, seized items including pre-cursor chemicals, glassware and other apparatus

A 53-year old Sunshine man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of drugs and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 17 February.

As part of the investigation, detectives executed warrants in Sunshine, Bulleen and Keysborough yesterday where approximately 11kg of what is believed to be ice was seized.

A 22-year-old Sunshine man has been charged with traffick a large commercial quantity of drugs and will also appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 17 February.

A 39-year-old Bulleen man was charged with firearm and proceeds of crime offences and bailed to appear at court at a later date.
