Cops nab drink driver in Cobden

Warrnambool Highway Patrol members nabbed a drink driver more than three times over the legal limit in Cobden last night, Victoria Police say.

Police routinely intercepted a Kia wagon on Parrott Street just after 10pm.

The 53-year-old male driver provided a positive preliminary breath test.

He was taken back to a police station where he returned a blood alcohol concentration of 0.226%.

The Cobden man had his vehicle impounded for 30 days and immediate loss of licence.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other drink driving related offences.
