A 21-year-old man had his car impounded after he was allegedly caught travelling nearly three times over the speed limit in Berwick early this morning, Victoria Police say.
The white Volkswagen Golf was clocked at 190km/h in a 70km/h zone on the Princes Highway just after 4am.
Casey Highway Patrol officers monitored and intercepted the vehicle in Guys Hill.
The Dandenong North man had his car immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1060.
He is expected to be charged on summons with speed and manner dangerous, conduct endangering life, evade police and speed related offences.
