Cops Nab Woman After Stolen Car Tracked in Melbourne

Police have arrested the alleged driver of a stolen vehicle tracked from Springvale to Chadstone early this morning.

Officers on patrol caught sight of the stolen white Kia driving in the vicinity of Springvale Junction about 4.10am.

Police vehicles on the ground kept their distance as Airwing spotted the vehicle allegedly travelling at speeds exceeding 140kms/hr, heading city bound on Dandenong Road.

The Kia was spotted turning right onto Warrigal Road and into a shopping Centre carpark in Chadstone.

The vehicle was allegedly dumped in the carpark and officers moved in, searched the area and arrested a woman alleged to be the driver.

A 22-year-old woman will be interviewed by investigators today.

Police located and seized Kia car keys found in a nearby bush.
