Cost of Living Service a win for Dubbo families

Families in Dubbo and surrounds have given the NSW Government's Cost of Living appointment service at Dubbo Service NSW Centre the thumbs up, with around $210,000 in rebates and savings already accessed.

Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello joined Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders today at the centre to announce the milestone and encourage more families across the community to give the service a go.

"We know that cost of living is a big issue facing Dubbo households, which is why we delivered this free, customer friendly service," Mr Dominello said.

"This service is helping make life easier for people by saving them an average of around $430.

"There are more than 70 rebates and savings available across Government and we've transformed Service NSW into a one-stop shop for household savings."

Mr Saunders encouraged locals to go online and check their eligibility before making a booking with a Cost of Living Specialist.

"Many eligible families with two or more children may be able to access more than $1,000 in savings through Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers, National Parks Concession Cards and Energy Switch," Mr Saunders said.

"Making an appointment is simple and easy and you could walk away with extra money in your pocket."

Appointments with a Cost of Living Specialist are available online at www.service.nsw.gov.au, calling 13 77 88 or in person at Dubbo Service NSW Centre.
