At its Council Meeting on Tuesday 8 September 2020, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council adopted the Community Investment Funding Policy.
The Policy provides a guiding vision for the planning, design, delivery and ongoing improvement of community investment funding on the Peninsula.
The Policy has been developed with best practice standards to share the ways Council will create and review its community investment funding programs.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Sam Hearn said: "Thank you to all those who participated in the consultation for this essential Policy.
"We want to support the community in as many ways as possible, whether that be through direct investment or through partnerships.
"The Policy will ensure community funding meet the needs of our community and benefits them. It will also encourage collaboration between the community and the Shire for community led initiatives".
