Bega Valley Shire Council will be closing many of its services for the day on Thursday 11 December to hold an all-staff development day.
Council CEO Anthony McMahon said the annual event is an important opportunity for staff to step away from day to day operations and focus on strengthening how they work together.
"This is an important day for our staff to connect, learn from each other and reflect on the role we play in supporting our community," Mr McMahon said.
"It's a chance to pause, share ideas, celebrate achievements and look at how we can continue to improve the way we deliver our services."
Some services will stay open, including the Sapphire Aquatic Centre and other shire swimming pools, Council-run childcare centres and the Central Waste Facility (for commercial customers only).
Kerbside waste and recycling collection will continue as normal.
Our Waste and Recycling Centres, libraries and the Bega office will close for the day.
SECCA (South East Centre for Contemporary Art) will be closed for exhibition changeover from Monday 1 December to Friday 12 December.
Customer Service phones will be diverted to our after-hours service during this time.
"We appreciate the community's understanding while we invest time in ensuring our staff have the tools, knowledge and connection they need to support the shire," Mr McMahon said.
All services will resume as normal on Friday 12 December.
