At its meeting on Monday 28 April 2025, Council endorsed the draft Community Strategic Plan 2025–2035, Delivery Program 2025–2029, Operational Plan 2025–2026, and Resourcing Strategy 2025–2026 for public exhibition.
These documents, which form the planning framework for Council's strategic direction, outline a decade-long community vision for Georges River.
The draft Community Strategic Plan 2025–2035 "the Plan" represents the highest level of strategic planning for Georges River, reflecting the aspirations and priorities identified by the community.
Developed through extensive community consultation in November 2024, the Plan has been revised to ensure alignment with the evolving needs of residents, businesses, and services across Georges River.
The draft Delivery Program 2025–2029 and Operational Plan 2025-2026 prioritise projects, services, and partnerships that address immediate community needs while laying foundations for long-term objectives.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "This is our shared roadmap for the future.
"The feedback we received in 2024 highlighted what matters most to our residents.
"Now, we're inviting everyone to review the drafts and ensure we've captured their vision accurately."
