Community groups, sports clubs, cultural groups and volunteer organisations are some of the local groups set to receive crucial funding as part of Council's 2021/22 Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme.

A total of fifty-five local community projects totalling just under $120,000 were allocated funding as part of the annual Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme.

Of the 55 grants allocated, 17 will receive cash donations of up to $600 while the remaining recipients will receive grants ranging from $1,000 to $7,000.

The announcement was made at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 14 July 2021.

Council's Interim Deputy General Manager, Ms Marissa Racomelara, said the spread of grants would benefit dozens of community organisations across the Shire.

"The Community Assistance Scheme allows our community to work with Council by implementing projects that benefit the entire Shire," she said.
