Council Backs Nappy Collective's Clean Bums Campaign

Georges River Council

Georges River Council is proud to support The Nappy Collective's Clean Bums for Little Ones campaign. Community members are invited to drop off new or leftover nappies at the Council's Customer Service Centre, Civic Centre, Hurstville. The campaign runs until 23 May 2025, but Council will accept donations year round.

The Clean Bums for Little Ones campaign is a national initiative that provides essential support to families facing financial hardship by collecting and redistributing nappies. With more than one in ten families struggling to afford enough nappies for their children, this campaign helps to ensure vulnerable families have access to this necessity.

The Nappy Collective accepts both full packs of nappies and outgrown, unused nappies from opened packs. If donating individual nappies, please bundle them together by size and place them in a paper or plastic bag, clearly labelled with the size to make sorting easier for volunteers.

Georges River Mayor Elise Borg said, "Georges River Council is thrilled to support the Clean Bums for Little Ones campaign.

"Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference in ensuring local children have access to the nappies they need.

"I encourage all residents to get involved and help make a positive impact in our community."
