Community members have until Monday 3 November to comment on Colac Otway Shire Council's plan to improve road safety across the shire.

Council has extended the consultation for the new Road Safety Strategy to give motorists, walkers and cyclists more time to have a say.

People can give general feedback or list concerns and ideas about specific sites.

The strategy will guide Council's work and investment in road safety for years to come, focusing on key areas such as speed management, road design, enforcement and education.

Colac Otway's road network spans diverse landscapes and communities, and local knowledge is vital to help shape safer roads across the shire.

Community members can complete a general online survey or drop a pin on a map to highlight safety concerns at specific locations.

You can have your say on our website.

Council has received a $50,000 grant from the Transport Accident Commission's Local Government Grant Program to develop the Road Safety Strategy.
