Does your community group need support for a project that delivers broad benefits to the development of our community, or do you seek to upgrade a community or recreation facility? Council grants are opening in September to support projects across the district.
There are two types of grants available:
Community Development Grants are grants up to $2,500 to deliver local initiatives that make a positive contribution to building community capacity. It covers areas including arts and cultural development, community wellbeing, lifelong learning, active lifestyles, environment, and Aboriginal culture and heritage.
Community and Recreation Facilities Grants are grants for not-for-profit community organisations providing sport or recreation services. Minor facility development grants are available up to $10,000, and major facility development grants are available up to $40,000 with matched funding. There are also grants available for facility planning up to $20,000.
