Council Maternal and Child Health to reopen access for local families

Greater Shepparton City Council's Maternal and Child Health (MCH) will reopen to all local families from Monday 5 October 2020.

Parts of the program have been delivered online or by phone recently due to the COVID-19 risk and relevant restrictions.

Recent improvement in case numbers throughout the state and particularly in regional Victoria mean it is now safe to reopen.

All visits across all age groups will again be offered face-to-face, however only one carer and one child may attend the MCH visit.

Council emphasises the importance of families still not attending while unwell or if they are have been to metro Melbourne in the past 14 days. If this is the case, families can contact MCH Administration to reschedule.

Hygiene practices and physical distancing within the centres will continue to keep the service safe for staff and families.

All adult family members are required to wear a face mask while attending the service.

If you would like to book an appointment or speak with a Maternal and Child Health nurse please contact MCH administration on 03 5832 9312 (Mon – Fri, 8.30am - 4pm).

Please ensure you have downloaded the Maternal and Child Health app and have the 24-hour Maternal and Child Health Line number saved: 13 22 29.

These arrangements are subject to change and will be updated as often as required.
