Latrobe City Council is reminding home renovators that the Building Services team is available to answer questions relating to building works and permits during the restrictions.
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dan Clancey, said that some projects around the home still required permits.
"We've all seen the photos of people queuing outside Bunnings to grab their paint or other materials. We're spending more time at home and it's tempting to start those long overdue projects. We'd just like to make sure that people understand that building work, home alterations and/or maintenance may still need a building permit," Cr Clancey said.
"Our Building Services team is ready to answer any questions or provide information and advice with regard to building works and permits. The website also includes detailed information on building permits and possible permit exemptions under the Building Regulations.
