Council is seeking community input to help prepare the draft 2026-27 Operational Plan and Delivery Program.
'We are holding a series of community meetings where we want to hear from the community as we put our budget together,' Mayor Kenrick Winchester said.
'We usually hold meetings in May to present the draft budget to the community, but we're bringing them forward to seek community input earlier.'
'Come along to a community meeting in Araluen, Bungendore, Braidwood, Queanbeyan, Nerriga or Wamboin to provide your input and meet with Councillors and staff.'
'There will also be two Council Meetings where community members can make presentations during the Public Forum where the Operational Plan and Delivery Program will be on Council's meeting agenda.'
'If your community group, association, or club has an idea that you think Council should be involved in, we would really like to hear from you so it can be considered in our draft budget.'
'We invite everyone to come along, whether it is to raise items for the budget or to talk about any other Council matter,' the Mayor said.
Community meeting details:
- Sunday 29 March, 2-3pm - Araluen Federal Hall
- Thursday 9 April, 6-8pm - Norah Starrs Bungendore Community Centre
