A warm milestone was celebrated at the November Ordinary Council meeting, where Mr Dominic Amega officially became an Australian citizen.

Surrounded by family, friends and council members, Mr Amega took the pledge of commitment and was formally welcomed as the Shire's newest citizen. The ceremony highlighted the importance of multiculturalism and the contributions new residents bring to the Narrandera Shire community.

Cr Neville Kschenka, Mayor of Narrandera Shire Council congratulated Mr Amega on this significant achievement.

"Becoming an Australian citizen is a proud moment, and we are delighted to share this occasion with Mr Amega," he said.

"Our community is strengthened by the people who choose to make Narrandera their home, and we warmly welcome Mr Amega and his family as part of our Shire."

Council extends its best wishes to Mr Amega as he embarks on this new chapter as an Australian citizen.
