The COVID-19 test result notification service has failed due to a system error.
As a result of the error, six SMS messages were sent to individuals notifying them of negative COVID-19 test result when they had returned a positive test result. These individuals are in the process of being contacted.
In addition, the service failed to send SMS messages to 51 individuals notifying them of a positive COVID-19 test result.
As soon as we became aware of the issue, NT Health immediately commenced the process to contact impacted individuals. SMS messages correcting the error and informing individuals of a positive result have been sent. All 51 individuals have also been contacted by phone.
The system error occurred between 9 and 20 June 2022 and was rectified on 21 June 2022. Investigations are underway to determine how the error occurred.
NT Health sincerely apologises for the error that was made and the inconvenience caused to those impacted by the system failure.
