Covid update - playgrounds open

We've installed QR codes and new COVID Safe signage to encourage our community to play safely.

Bayside's 61 playgrounds are back in action in line with the slight easing of restrictions by the Victorian Government.

Under the new restrictions only children under 12 can play with only one parent, guardian or carer in attendance unless a second parent, guardian or carer is required for children with additional needs. Adults should not remove their masks to eat or drink while visiting a playground.

You must check in at the playground using the Victorian Government QR code system.

We know the closure of playgrounds has been tough for our community, particularly our younger residents - thank you for your patience and cooperation.

We encourage our community to check in using the QR codes, play safely, follow public gathering and exercise restrictions to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

We will be progressively installing the QR codes from Friday morning so please bear with us.

Skate parks, basketball rings, the outdoor gym equipment and seniors exercise equipment in parks remain closed.
