COVID-19 vaccines are now funded through the NIP, replacing the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program that was introduced during the pandemic.
Free COVID-19 vaccines are available for:
- adults aged 65 years or older
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and over
- adults aged 18 years or older with severe immunocompromise.
Vaccination continues to be an important way to reduce the risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
