Crash closes Port Wakefield Road at Dry Creek, SA

Port Wakefield Road remains closed in both directions after a car crash overnight, according to SA Police.

At 2.30am on Friday 17 March, a car lost control, rolled and crashed into traffic and light poles at the intersection of Port Wakefield Road and Salisbury Highway, Dry Creek before catching fire.

The three occupants of the vehicle are extremely lucky to have escaped without serious injury.

Three traffic lights were knocked over and police and other emergency services are working hard at the scene to clear the road for morning traffic as soon as possible.

The first priority is to open up a single southbound lane to allow traffic to head into the city.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.
