Police from Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to a crash involving a pedestrian in Plumpton earlier this year, NSW Police say.
About 5.20am on Thursday 11 May 2017, a 70-year-old man was crossing Hyatts Road, at the intersection of Jersey Road Plumpton.
At the same time, a white Hyundai iload turned right from Jersey Road into Hyatts Road.
The Hyundai struck the elderly man causing him to fall and sustain significant injuries.
Following the impact the Hyundai failed to stop and continued south on Hyatts Road, Plumpton.
It was last seen turning right at Perrin Avenue.
Circumstances of the collision are currently under investigation, and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are appealing for the driver of the Hyundai to come forward.
They are also calling for further witnesses to the incident to contact on (02) 8882 1458.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
