Police are investigating a crash involving an ambulance vehicle in Sydney's west overnight.
Just before 2am (Sunday 26 July 2020), police were called to Sherwood Road, Merrylands, after reports a NSW Ambulance vehicle and a Holden Commodore had collided head-on.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and spoke to the Holden driver, a 32-year-old man. He was subjected to a roadside breath test returning a positive result.
The driver was treated by paramedics for a laceration to his arm before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment. He also underwent mandatory testing.
The Holden passenger, the paramedics and a patient inside the ambulance vehicle were uninjured.
